Horsforth Area Guide

A well respected area set North West of Leeds City Centre. Horsforth has a train station on the Harrogate line which gives commuters easy access to the business centres of both areas. This expanding town has in recent years had a number of new developments offering modern living accommodation in an increasingly popular location.

Horsforth is notable for having a large percentage of sandstone buildings sourced from local quarries, more than any other part of Leeds and has a mixture of older period properties and new modern living.

The local schools have a very good reputation and the popular Horsforth High School often has a waiting list for students not living in the immediate area. Leeds Trinity University campus is also within the Horsforth area.

With two main shopping areas the busy Town Street and New Road side both have a number of shops bars and restaurants which are popular with the young or lively residents locally.
